Ohio based rock band, JCB put their stamp on 2017 by releasing Cocked & Loaded, an album that was touted to have created the “Country Metal” genre and for “reviving Southern Rock.” Now they promise to take their sound to new heights by releasing their sophomore effort, Turning It Up, which lead singer and songwriter, Jay Clark says offers more complex lyrics, more soaring guitar solos and catchy choruses that the band’s fans are so familiar with.
JCB started when the singer set out to write and record his own material. He went to Nashville in 2016 to record 6 songs which became the demo EP, Never Too Late. He went back into the studio a few months later to record new tracks and released his debut album, Cocked & Loaded, to Independent radio stations and streaming sites around the world in April 2017.
While attending college in Ohio, Jay played in a number of cover bands. After putting down the mic and settling down, he began writing original material as the stage was calling him back. He started posting acoustic versions of his songs on Facebook, and after getting a lot of great feedback in 2016, he packed up his gear and headed to the songwriting capital of the world, Nashville, to record with some of the best musicians in the country.
After the success of his demo called “Never Too Late”, JCB is back with “Turning It Up” and the sky’s the limit, you need to book them so you can say you knew them before they left the stratosphere.
