Chicago MC, Jay Hunna grew up listening to several different genres of music, and he gets his inspiration from Hip-Hop legends like Jay-Z, Pac, and Biggy among countless others.
The motivation behind his debut album “Better Days” comes from the tragic death of his cousin, Sandra Bland, that garnered nationwide attention in July of 2015.
“Good music translates in all languages. It creates a feeling of happiness and joy in most people, so I just want to reach every language and give them that experience.”
The unique way that Jay approaches music allows him to engage the art of storytelling in his songs, that effectively leave listeners with the ability to identify with him as if they were immersed in the experience he is describing.
